Mark Your Calendars!

We are kicking off our summer fundraising for the Resident Council Foundation with our "Take a Toss at the Boss" Dunk Tank Fundraiser on July 27th! The residents, staff & families had so much fun with this last year that we decided to mark it as an annual summer event. We will also be selling mini doughnuts, dippin' dots and ice cold root beer & lemonade. Our Administrator Tom will be in the Dunk Tank again, so make sure to bring your cash for your chance to take a Toss at the Boss!

We will be selling raffle tickets for our gift basket fundraiser starting August 25th. Each department will be putting together themed baskets that will be displayed in the main lobby of our long term care unit. Raffle tickets are $1.00 a piece with no limit to the amount you can purchase. The winners of each basket will be announced at the annual picnic in September. Last year, (our first year with this fundraiser) we raised almost $1,600.00! The Foundation's goal this year is to raise $2,000.00.

It was so fun to see the creative baskets our staff came up with! Some of us have already been gathering items and coming up with themes for this year. Last year we had twelve baskets, and the themes ranged from Wine Lovers, Bloody Mary Bar, Children's Books to a Grilling basket. There was a little something for everyone!

Speaking of our annual resident, staff & family picnic, it will be on September 9th @ 12:00 in the south drive. Back by resident request, we will be having live music from Jack and the Boys. As always, our Administrator Tom will be grilling. Raffle tickets for the gift baskets will be available until 12:45 and winners will be announced @ 1:00. We have had beautiful weather the last few years for our picnic, so lets keep our fingers crossed for this year's event!

All the money that the Foundation earns through our fundraisers pays for entertainment, activity supplies, leisure supplies, family nights and special events for the residents at Park River. We are so lucky to have so much support from our Administrator, our staff members & our resident's families. You have all been so wonderful and have made all our fundraisers successful!
